How We Are Funded

GMI is funded primarily by contributions from churches, individuals, sister organizations, and foundation grants, as well as product sales to the international missions community. Our annual revenue consists of three streams:

• Contributions to the missionary support of our staff's ministries - mostly from churches and individuals (as an evangelical faith missionary organization, GMI staff are responsible for raising financial and prayer support from a team of churches and individuals);
• Grants from foundations - for GMI's general fund and for specific projects; and
• Revenue from product sales - GMI's maps, books and CD-ROMs.

The Fine Print

• GMI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Contributions to GMI are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.
• GMI is governed by an independent Board of Directors.
• An annual financial audit is performed by a certified public accounting firm. Copies of the audited financial statements are available upon request.
